Assistant Chief Engineer
(Selangor)

 

Responsibilities:

To ensure and supervise for the efficient operation of major plants such as Air conditioning, Cooling Towers, Coldroom, Lifts, Steam Boiler, Calorifier, hot/cold water distribution, Storage water tanks, pumps, Fire Fighting, Fire Alarm system, Fire Pump room, Kitchen, Laundry, Pneumatic Air Compressors, Ventilation, Swimming Pool, main and sub Electrical distribution system, PABX and Telephone distribution system, PA system and all other engineering related system.To ensure that the utility consumption comprising of electricity, water, and NGA are utilized in an efficient manner.This may have to be done by the team effort of the Engineering and other operational Departments with the implementation of energy conservation programs.To provide technical skills training to other team members on various applicable trades and new technologies that may be implemented to the Hotel from time to time.To provide utmost priority to the Fire and Safety system and to respond immediately on any situation related to the above.In this respect he should be well versed with all the Fire detection, Fire Fighting and Safety system of the Hotel.      To direct and handle all emergencies that occur in the Hotel even though this could be outside his field of work, which is usually electrical in discipline.To feed back to the Chief Engineer on matters pertaining to the shift operations, suggestions and issues that may further enhance the smooth operation and assist in managing a group of technician’s of the Engineering Department.To update the respective shift's activities briefly in the supervisor's logbook, feedback on pending and uncompleted works assignments to the next shift supervisor within the end of the respective day.

 

Requirements:

Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Engineering (Electrical/Electronic), Engineering (Mechanical) or equivalent.Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, EnglishAt least 5 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.Preferably Managers specializing in Engineering - Electrical or equivalent.Preferably with a chargeman BO certificate issued by Jabatan Bekalan Elektrik.Knowledge in the maintenance and trouble shooting of 3 phase electrical installations, starter controls, switchboard and power distribution system.Full-Time positions available.
